The film JESS + MOSS will be playing at the Cheri Theater this Thursday. It’s co-written by a Murray State alumni, Debra Coleman Jeter, and her son, Clay, who also directs. Debra was a student of Helen Roulston, who brought the event to our attention.
It was filmed on location in Calloway County in 2009-2010. The film premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and was shown in festivals worldwide, winning several awards. In celebration of the 5 year anniversary of the premiere, the Cheri Theater is hosting a screening of this film, along with a short film, 5 Dollars, also shot in Calloway County.
