Dr. Alicia Carthell Assistant Professor of English recently published an article, “An Analysis of Bias in Language Content in Books Used in Technical and Professional Writing Courses: A Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice Matter,” in the March 2024 issue of IEEE Transactions of Professional Communication.
Dr. Carthell research focuses on technical and scientific communication, technical and professional writing, and educational leadership, student success and retention in Postsecondary Education. At Murray State, she has been award the Dr. Steve Jones Faculty Excellence Award and the Drs. SG and Alicia Carthell Scholarship (established in 2018).
